On November 11, my mom and two sisters threw a surprise birthday party for my grandma. A photobooth was placed in the corner for guests to use. My second cousin is pictured playing with a prop meant for the photobooth. My mom playfully points at the big eyes that take up half her face.

Students at Carolina enjoy the limited moments between classes on their phone. Professor Dane Huffman reminds students, "You only have four years at Carolina. Enjoy the beauty around you."

North Carolina Central's Homecoming 2023

Homecomings at HBCUs are about celebrating school-spirit and the community. North Carolina Central University's homecoming was filled with Eagle Pride and high spirits. NCCU's football team won their game against Norfolk State. The excitement from the football game did not, however, overshadow the love for the cheerleaders or the band. Overall, the day at the HBCU was filled with joy and excitement.
